UBONG FRIDAY GOOD ENOUGH FOR CHAN EAGLES

The CHAN is a football tournament which was first announced on 11 September 2007.

It is administered by CAF and is played between the best national teams of Africa, exclusively featuring players who are active in the national championships and qualified to play in the ongoing season.

Over the years, CHAN Super Eagles is a collection of players in the NPFL with outstanding performances for their respective clubs.

Ekene Ezenwa(FCIU), Mfon Udoh(Enyimba), Stephen Eze(FCIU) and Ifeanyi Ifeanyi(Akwa Utd) are the various outstanding players called up by Coach Salisu for this year's CHAN tournament

Other notable names who have also been called up are Alhassan Ibrahim, Elisha Golbe and Rabiu Ali, from Akwa United, Plateau United and Kano Pillars respectively.

Ubong Friday of Akwa United is another active and outstanding performer in the NPFL this seasons that has been ignored by the Coach Salisu Yusuf led coaching crew.

The Akwa United star player, who was Federation Cup highest goalscorer in 2015 is one player capable of making a huge impact for the Super Eagles by scoring important goals and supplying them too.

Friday is undoubtedly one of the finest wing forward in the league this season, his pace and goalscoring ability is second to none and as such deserve a place in the CHAN team.
